SRAS BERHAD was established in
the year 2003 as an afterthought of the
worldwide SARS epidemic. Interestingly, SRAS is
SARS spelled backward. It is the acronym for
Satellite Reconnaissance Arresting Sicknesses
and is used as an analogy to formulate the
Corporate Philosophy, Principles, Objectives,
Organizations and Business Structures.
It is pioneered by a team of well-trained and
qualified Public Health Specialists, Biomedical
and Biotechnology Scientists, Professional
Engineers and world renowned Advisors.
The broad spectrum of SRAS's philosophy and
principle is to create a platform to promote
young and senior scientists and professionals to
enterprise their Research and Development in the
fields of disease prevention, food and
pharmaceutical production, environmental
preservation and natural resource management.
The ultimate goal of the company is to fulfill
the World Health Organization's definition of
Environmental Health which is defined as:
"...that aspect of public health
which concerns those form of life,
substances, forces and conditions in
the surroundings of human that
may exert an influence on human
health and well-being. This includes
other human as part of human
surrounding when not only do human
and his environment interact but
also human to human interaction
which is a vital factor in
contributing to the status of
environmental
health...''
"Health is defined in WHO's constitution as a
state of complete physical,
mental and social well-being and not merely the
absence of disease or
